Physical Therapy & Corrective Exercise
If you are experiencing pain, loss of mobility, or other physical issues that impair your function and prevent you from enjoying hobbies or sports, a specifically designed program of treatment can improve your pain and quality of life. After a comprehensive, problem focused evaluation including medical history and personal goals, we will co-create a plan that will help you to return to what you enjoy. With over 30 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, as well as Certifications as a personal trainer (CPT) and Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), I will work with you to alleviate a variety of problems from arthritis, chronic and acute muscle or joint dysfunctions, neck and back pain, sprains, strains and more. I use a combination of manual therapy, corrective exercise, therapeutic taping or bracing, and other methods designed specifically for your problem. I offer a free, confidential 15 min consultation to discuss your diagnosis or current issues and determine if I can help you. A medical history form as well as consent/clearance from your doctor is required before beginning.

Individual therapy sessions are designed around specific needs identified on evaluation. Programs and methods are unique to each person and priced accordingly for 30 and 60 min. sessions. A Plan will be structured at time of initial Evaluation.

Weight Management
The Standard American diet (SAD) has been implicated in the growing health and weight challenges that many people are facing today. There is a vast and confusing array of dietary theories that promise fast and lasting weight reduction, yet despite multiple attempts, many people continue to struggle with managing their weight. For many, this is repeatedly felt as a personal, ongoing failure.
Excess weight is a significant risk factor for many chronic, preventable diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, stroke and arthritis. I have seen first-hand how excess weight complicates and exacerbates all forms of arthritis. For example, for every 10 pounds of excess weight carried there is a corresponding increase of 30-50 pounds felt across the knee joint during normal walking!
The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison.” – Ann Wigmore
I have studied many dietary approaches from modern-day "Mediterranean"," Blood type" to "Paleo", "Raw" and "Vegan". There are simply too many types of "diets" to mention here. There is only one common thread, and that is, there is never a "one size fits all" approach. WE are all biologically unique. Also, you will rarely succeed based on deprivation and will power alone. There are changes in the biology of the body and brain (hormones, neurotransmitters, etc.) that need to be considered if we are to master lasting change. We are uniquely different in our physical, psychological and biochemical make up and therefore must respect and honor our individual differences.
"Let food be thy medicine", are the wise words of Hippocrates. The food we eat turns into our blood chemistry, this directly impacts our mind, body and spirit and ultimately our health. If you are ready to find a kinder, holistic solution to weight management and begin nourishing your body, mind and spirit, I can help you get started.

You have one life, how are you going to live it?
Many people have never thought about the answer to this question or spent very much time thinking about or taking an active role in improving their own heath. Most people spend more time watching television or surfing the web than they do considering what steps they can take to improve their health.
Health markers such as blood pressure, cholesterol, waist circumference, blood sugar, chronic pain, and mental and emotional stress, are factors you can control. Disease states will manifest when the body is out of balance, the nutritional state is inadequate, or the toxic load on the body is more than what the bodily systems can handle. Scientist now know that 80% of chronic diseas states are lifestyle related. Creating a lifestyle that is enjoyable and purposeful up until its very end is attainable if you are intentional and committed.
Whether you are interested in prevention or management, the attainment of wellness rests squarely on the choices you are making today. You have the last word when it comes to what you are willing to do to live a more active, fit and healthier life. My goal is to provide you with the tools you need to move forward making healthier choices and living a healthier, more vibrant life.
You only need to take the first step, begin your journey to wellness now!
